Māori Health Hui | Registration

The Māori Health hui is a key opportunity for the RACP Māori caucus to gather, connect and reflect on matters important to Māori members, while also building connections with each other and key staff and members of the college.

In 2024, the Māori Health hui will take place alongside the inaugural one-day Māori trainee wānanga, creating a safe place of whakawhānaungatanga for our Māori caucus and developing that tuakana/teina mentorship.

The Māori Health hui aims to:

  • Foster whakawhānaungatanga - Provide a platform for the Māori caucus to connect with one another. There will be opportunities for Fellows to connect separately, as well as for the entire caucus to build relationships.

  • Develop the Tuakana/Teina relationships - Facilitate mentoring relationships between junior, senior trainees and Fellows to support career development and professional growth.
  • Whakatipu mātauranga – Grow their knowledge and leadership skills as senior members of the Māori caucus.
  • Tohutohunga– Help guide the kōrero surrounding the initiatives to support our Māori Fellows and grow our physician workforce.
