Trainee Wananga/Māori Trainee Day | Registration

The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Māori Health Committee is delighted to announce our Inaugural Māori Trainee Wananga/Māori Trainee Day, an opportunity to strengthen connections, build support networks, and thrive in training. This day is supported by RDA/STONZ and for those working at Te Whatu Ora costs are reimbursable.

Join us for a day dedicated to fostering whakawhanaungatanga within the Māori caucus and nurturing tuakana teina relationships among trainees and Fellows. Our program is designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to excel on your journey in medicine.

  • Embrace Connections: Engage in meaningful discussions and activities that cultivate whakawhanaungatanga within our community of Māori trainees.

  • Strengthen Relationships: Explore the concept of tuakana teina relationships, where seasoned mentors (tuakana) guide and support their junior counterparts (teina) through the challenges and triumphs of training.

  •  Thrive in Training: Gain valuable insights and practical strategies for navigating the demands of physician and paediatric training from a clinical psychologist, equipping you with tools for resilience and well-being.
