Northern Territory

Annual Scientific Meeting

Welcome, Kia ora,

We’re pleased to welcome you to the RACP Northern Territory Annual Scientific Meeting (NT ASM) at the Darwin Convention Centre on Friday, 11 and Saturday, 12 October 2024.

This year’s program covers a broad spectrum of topics, catering to both Adult and Paediatric Medicine, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for all:
- In the Adult Medicine stream, attendees can look forward to updates from a range of specialties: Haematology, Immunology/Rheumatology, Endocrinology, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Renal Medicine, Cardiology, and Neurology.

- For Paediatrics, the program includes discussions on renal updates and transplant journeys, FASD service and challenges, neonatal care, Rheumatic Heart Disease screening, and the use of long-acting monoclonal antibodies for RSV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander infants.

- In addition, all attendees can attend the workshops and plenaries which will delve into key issues like ‘feedback on the run’, bedside ultrasound, functional neurological disorders, and medico-legal trends in the NT, and a panel on the end-of-life discussion.

We’ve designed this event to be more than just educational—it's a chance to connect with colleagues in a relaxed environment. It will feature the judging of the 2024 NT Trainee Research Awards and a unique “Wisdom around the Campfire” panel during our sunset dinner cruise on Darwin Harbour on Friday evening.

Plus, your participation counts towards CPD!

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing these 1.5 days of learning and connection.
